My own journey in somatic healing began at age 18 when I discovered Yoga and became fascinated with how some poses could help me access sadness or anger or bliss. I was so intrigued I planned a trip to India and trained as a yoga teacher (2005). My interest continued to grow, so I studied Somatics further and became a Somatic Movement Therapist through the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association(2010). Then I completed a Masters Degree in Psychology and Counseling at Goddard College. Finally today I practice as a Somatic Psychotherapist and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (VT) Soon after hanging my shingle in 2015 I started to study Internal Family Systems, which I weave with my somatic trainings to provide the unique blend that I offer today as a healer.
I grew up on a 4th generation apple farm in Southern Vermont. I am a mother of 2, wife & home-maker. I lead a simple holistic lifestyle with an emphasis on balance and wellness through yoga, walks, gathering and making food, parenting, friends and traveling along my own healing path.

Sessions are offered through my secure video-chat portal. I recommend setting yourself up with your device on the floor with a yoga mat and pillows or on a cozy couch, chair or bed. Through body-centered awareness, including breath work and contemplative practices, we engage in somatic healing to tap into the semi-conscious areas that need your attention for a profound body mind soul transformation, allowing you to transcend your pain and suffering. A safe container and supportive healing presence facilitates insights and unburdening. I work with you to integrate the healing we find in our sessions, so you may experience long-lasting change and benefit from effective mental/somatic health counseling.
Starting out with our work together I like to schedule weekly or every other week. Eventually the work can graduate to monthly or as needed.
I cannot highlight enough how important it is to engage in activities outside of therapy that aid in the integration of what happens in the session. Some example are journaling, nature walks, conscious movement such as yoga, tai chi or dance, connecting with a friend or mentor, a support group or meditation.
