Healing is rarely about becoming someone new.

More often, it is a process of coming home to ourselves—beneath the stress, protective patterns, old wounds, and ways we’ve learned to survive.

For more than twenty years, I have explored the relationship between the body, trauma, mindfulness, movement, attachment, and healing. What began as a personal search became a lifelong path of study, clinical training, and deep curiosity about what helps people reconnect with themselves.

Today, I integrate somatic psychotherapy, nervous system regulation, embodiment practices, and Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed work to help people move beyond insight alone and create meaningful, lasting change.

Over time, this work evolved into what I now call The Body Speaks Method—an integrative, body-centered approach that helps people listen more deeply to themselves, regulate their nervous systems, and cultivate a more authentic relationship with who they are.

Because healing isn’t about fixing ourselves.

It’s about remembering, reclaiming, and returning to what has been there all along.

What working together feels like.

Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable adults who have spent years carrying a great deal—for their families, their work, and the people they love. They often understand their patterns intellectually, yet still find themselves living with chronic tension, over-responsibility, emotional holding, or nervous system patterns that no longer feel sustainable.

Somatic therapy and coaching offer a different doorway. Together, we’ll gently listen to what your body has been communicating through sensation, posture, breath, emotion, and protective patterns. At a pace your nervous system can trust, we’ll build greater capacity for regulation, resilience, and connection.

Over time, shifts often appear not only in how you think, but in how you breathe, move, relate, rest, and care for yourself. Clients frequently describe the work as feeling less like becoming someone different and more like coming home to themselves.

All sessions are offered virtually and are conducted without physical touch.

A Little More About Me

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in Vermont with more than twenty years of experience in somatic and body-based approaches. I am also a Registered Somatic Movement Therapist (RSMT) and an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT).

My own healing journey, contemplative practice, and life as a wife, mother, and stepmother continue to shape how I understand presence, pacing, nervous system repair, and relationships.

Outside the therapy room, you’ll usually find me with my family, walking in the woods, practicing yoga, or spending quiet time in nature—places that continually remind me of the wisdom, resilience, and healing capacity we all carry within us.
